City Book Room is an independent publisher established in Singapore in December, 2014, founded on the belief that books serve as essential nourishment for the human mind. The publisher first secured a physical location at North Bridge Centre in 2016, and later relocated to Joo Chiat Road in 2022, where it continues to operate today. City Book Room has published a diverse range of titles including novels, prose, poetry, and translated works, with some publications receiving recognition through the Singapore Literature Prize. The bookstore's collection features contemporary writings primarily in Chinese with some English selections, spanning literature and history from across Singapore, Malaysia, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
