Description About the Author & Illustrator Jade lives in a loveless and joyless world. One day, she meets a girl who is lost. Most importantly, she experiences friendship and family love. This story celebrates Singapore Chinese Girls' School's 120th anniversary and the Singapore Bicentennial. It is supported by the National Heritage Board and Singapore Chinese Girls' School. Pauline Loh is an award-winning author of several non-fiction and children's titles. She is a winner of the First Time Writers and Illustrators Publishing Initiative 2009 and first runner-up for the Scholastic Asian Book Award 2012. Her books have been shortlisted for the Hedwig Anuar Book Award 2015, the Samsung KidsTime Author’s Award 2015 and the Singapore Book Awards 2016. A former journalist, she is also the director of Women Empowered for Work and Mothering and an ambassador of Singapore Memory Project. She graduated from Singapore Chinese Girls’ School, Raffles Junior College and National University of Singapore. Li Ching Heng is an artist and a published book illustrator. She has exhibited in Singapore at the Asian Festival Of Children’s Content, and in Japan and Korea as a represented artist. She worked with the National Gallery of Singapore, Overjoyed, Club Rainbow, Armour Publishing, the Six Senses Evason Hua Hin, Rolex, Frank Muller, Hendricks Gin and many others. This year, German company, Schmincke, appointed her as Brand Demonstrator for their Watercolour paint.
