Lady Khadijah: Two Treatises on Her Life and Virtues

Sayyid Muhammad Ibn Alawi al-Maliki and Abd al-Hamid Mahmud Tuhmaz present a work comprising two treatises on the life of Lady Khadijah and her virtues. The first treatise is by the late Meccan scholar Sayyid Muhammad in 'Alawi al-Maliki al-Hasani, titled Bushra fi Manaqib al-Sayyidah al-Khadijah al-Kubra (The Glad Tidings on the Merits of Lady Khadijah the Greatest). The second is by the late Syrian scholar Shaykh Abd al-Hamid Mahmud Tuhmaz, titled al-Sayyidah Khadijah: The Mother of the Believers and the First of Creation to Embrace Islam. These treatises offer insights into her life—highlighting her loyalty, faith, character, steadfastness, and dedication to Allah, the Prophet ﷺ, and Islam—and showcase her strength in the face of adversity. The contents include topics such as her proposal and marriage to the Prophet, her role within the prophetic household, her support and perseverance, reassurance and confirmation, and her memory.
