Semi-Sweet

Hannah Robinson is about to open her new shop, Cupcakes on the Corner, when her boyfriend Patrick suddenly announces he's leaving her for another woman. Facing the challenge of starting a business alone, Hannah wonders if her dream has turned into a nightmare. Her best friend Adam sets a seven-month deadline to make her shop successful or give up. As she immerses herself in her new business, Hannah finds little time to think about Patrick or his pregnant girlfriend, and she starts to notice a regular customer developing a sweet tooth for cupcakes. Meanwhile, family friend Alice's marriage is falling apart due to her husband's increasing drinking problems. As the deadline approaches, Hannah must decide her future, learning that happiness in life and love is all about making the right choices.
