The New Singapore House

This volume, yet another by prolific architect-writer Robert Powell, identifies and analyses the major trends in the design of houses in Singapore from 1945 to the end of the century. This collection fills an important gap in the history of the Singapore house and provides useful background information to enhance appreciation of the 19 houses featured. These houses are the work of eight design-oriented architectural practices. In residential design, they represent the cutting-edge of the architectural profession at the outset of the 21st century.
