Thin Air

In 1935, young medic Stephen Pearce travels to India to join an expedition with his brother, Kits. The elite team of five will climb Kangchenjunga, the world's third highest mountain and one of mountaineering's biggest killers. No one has scaled it before, and they are following in the footsteps of the 1907 Lyell Expedition, which resulted in the deaths of five men. As the team prepares for the climb, Pearce's unease deepens, especially after warnings from Charles Tennant, the only survivor of the previous expedition, who hints of dark secrets. As they ascend, Pearce begins to see dark things, and strange mementoes of past climbers appear, leading him to doubt the full truth about the tragedy.
